'Sky Sport': Ancelotti talks to Kovacic's agent
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has spoken to Mateo Kovacic's agent, Nikky Vuksan, according to Italian media 'Sky Sport'. The Whites' coach is looking for reinforcements in the centre of the park, and the young Croat is one of the favoured options.
Born in Austria to Croatian parents, the central midfielder stands out for his technique and coolness on the ball despite his young age (he turned 20 last month). He signed for Inter Milan, where he was award the number 10 shirt, for €15m from Dinamo Zagreb, with whom he made his debut in 2010.
Kovacic is in Brazil with Croatia at the moment, and he started against Brazil last night alongside La Liga duo Modric and Rakitic in midfield before leaving the field after an hour. He has the potential to really stand out at the World Cup, and Ancelotti is looking to get in early.
