Donald Trump wearing a suit and tie: When Donald Trump won the presidential election a year ago, it marked the first time the United States had elected someone who had never held elective office since Dwight Eisenhower was elected in 1952.Given Trump’s lack of legislative record and his outsized personality, his presidency was bound to be unpredictable. To date, Trump has signed nearly 60 bills into law, although he failed to deliver on his major campaign promise to dismantle Obamacare and enact a better health care law instead. The president also has signed dozens of executive orders and presidential proclamations, relating to anything from travel ban, deregulation, illegal immigration crackdown, health care, and the border wall. Not all these orders have moved forward, however, either because the courts blocked them on constitutional grounds or because of lack of funding. On the world stage, Trump has been as controversial as at home. His phone call shortly after he was elected to Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen angered China, and he criticized North Korea's Kim Jong Un as Pyongyang continued to test missiles and further its nuclear program. His Middle East policies, from Israeli-Palestinian relationships to fighting ISIS to considering rolling back President Barack Obama's Iran nuclear deal, are also roiling world politics. The president also pulled out the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement, withdrew America from some trade agreements, and he is renegotiating others.Trump is often inconsistent on issues and takes to Twitter to voice his displeasure or opinions on anything, from how the media covers his administration to professional football players protesting the national anthem. But underneath the noise, Trump is reshaping the judiciary; rolling back regulations from the Obama era; expediting long-delayed projects such as the Keystone Pipeline; and moving to limit the size of national parks and monuments.24/7 Wall St. reviewed regulations approved, executive orders signed, laws passed, statements tweeted, and news reports from multiple sources to identify 50 of the most notable events since Donald Trump was elected president on Nov. 8, 2016. To be considered, the event needed to have occurred at least partially as a result of actions by the president and his administration.
