James Mangold’s The Force Brings David Mamet On To Script

Legendary screenwriter and playwright David Mamet is the likely choice to adapt Don Winslow’s new novel The Force for the big screen. If Mamet takes the job, it will be his first feature film since 2008's Redbelt. The acclaimed new book, which Stephen King called “The Godfather with cops,” follows a group of NYPD detectives led by the tough-as-nails Denny Malone.
