Ownership battles may have swept in numerous changes during its 180-year history but, fortunately today, tradition survives and thrives. Now returned to the Theakston family following Scottish & Newcastle’s management, the company lives up to the name of its most famous beer—Peculier, a 12th-century word meaning “particular.”

Old Peculier

Rich and deep dark ruby in hue, with a mellow fruit aroma and a malty, full-bodied flavor.

Black Bull Bitter
