Striking beers and striking imagery quickly developed a huge fan base and younger market for traditional ales when Wychwood launched the celebrated Hobgoblin in bottles in 1996. Until 1990 it had been the Eagle Brewery, but now as Wychwood it produces 50,000 barrels (eight million liters) of craft ale annually.
