Fish can be served twice within a menu. This is easy and quick—the starter is a no-cook salad, the main course can be left in the oven while you prepare the rest of the meal, and the dessert can be prepared ahead and placed in the refrigerator to chill.


30 minutes


Prepare the dessert, and put in the refrigerator to chill.

20 minutes

Main course

Prepare the sardines, and put in the oven to bake.

10 minutes


Prepare the smoked fish salad; slice the fennel and prepare the mango.

Main course

Prepare a crisp green salad to accompany the main course.


Serve the fish salad.

Turn off the oven, but leave the sardines inside, to keep warm.

Remove the dessert from the refrigerator.
