It’s not easy to maintain a celebrity marriage when you’re under constant scrutiny and even harder when there’s children involved.

Which is why Victoria Beckham reportedly sat her children down to assure them that ‘Daddy’s not a cheat’ amid speculation that she and David were splitting up.

The latest round of divorce rumours happened in June when the couple were forced to deny that they were going their separate ways after almost 20 years of marriage.

And while they laughed it off in public, apparently they took the matter much more seriously at home.

According to The Sun, the former Spice Girl addresses the situation in her upcoming interview with Vogue magazine which is published this week.

The feature was supposed to be about the designer’s ten years in fashion but the 44-year-old decided to tackle the rumour mill as well.

A source told the publication that the high-profile couple always try to be ‘transparent’ with their four kids – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

‘They sat the children down and addressed these horrific, hurtful whispers,’ the friend revealed.

It seems they would rather the youngsters hear it from them than have to deal with speculation in the schoolyard.

At the time of the rumours, a spokesperson for the pair said: ‘There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news.
