It has been revealed that Prince William won’t be the best man at his brother’s wedding to Meghan Markle next May.

The revelation is kind of controversial, considering Prince Harry was best man for William when he married Kate in 2011.

However, before you start thinking that the royal siblings have had some sort of massive fallout, it’s not Harry’s fault.

According to British and European royalty expert Marlene Koenig, there is no such thing as a ‘best man’ at a royal wedding.

Speaking to Town & Country, she said that the best man or best men are officially called ‘supporters’.

Apparently, William is believed to have broken the tradition by officially making Harry his ‘best man’.

Both his father Charles and uncle Andrew had their brothers as their ‘supporters’ when they married their spouses.

But, seeing as Meghan and Harry are breaking traditions left, right and centre, we’re hoping Harry puts the kibosh on this one as well.

Given that Will’s already called out Harry for ‘scrounging’ all the food in their fridge, we reckon his best man speech would be hilarious!

Two members of the royal family who are tipped to have big roles on the day are Prince George and Princess Charlotte who will reportedly be pageboy and bridesmaid for the newlyweds.
