If there's one person who can save Julian Assange, it's Kanye West.

That's what Pamela Anderson believes, so she wrote the rapper a letter asking him to help with the release of the controversial WikiLeaks founder.

"Hi Kanye. Hope you are well. I was wondering about your thoughts on Julian Assange," read the letter obtained by TMZ. "I support him and I know you value Free Speech -- Visibility is good for him especially in America. Where they are trying to put him away for life or worse for exposing corruption in governments."

In the letter, the 50-year-old former Baywatch star insisted that officials were "trying to kill [Assange]," a claim she also expressed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last week.

"He's been locked in a small room for almost 6 years in London at the Ecuadorian Embassy," wrote Anderson, who's long been rumoured to be in a relationship with Assange. "And He now can have no visitors. No Phone calls or internet. They are squeezing him."

According to the actress, Assange, 46, and West, 40, are cut from the same cloth because they both value freedom of speech. So it would help if they supported one another.

"I've always supported your 'no filter' -- you speak your mind," she explained in the letter. "And you make an impact. I'm sure a lot of people feel like you -- They just are stuck in what society says is OK to say."

Just like Assange, West is notorious for going against the grain. In recent weeks, the rapper has supported US President Donald Trump, much to the public's dismay. Last year, just weeks after his mental breakdown, he beelined for Trump Towers in New York to meet the unpopular leader, who at the time was running for office.

"I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues," West tweeted at the time. "I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."

That's probably what Anderson is banking on…
