'Bachelorette' evictee Will Ferrier was friendzoned

© Network Ten Musician Will Ferrier has gone home without a rose between his teeth. Bachelorette Sam Frost may have booted musician Will Ferrier from the mansion, but that's OK because he thinks of her more as a sister than a romantic prospect.

Despite this, Ferrier, who stood apart from the other bachelors vying for Frost's affections with his eccentric manner, said it was sad to leave the Sydney Harbour mansion, his "amazing" new friends and free food.

"I knew from the moment I met Sam we had no chemistry, and she put me on a bus beyond the friendzone highway as soon as I got out of the limo," he told AAP.

"There was nothing there and we were two different cuts of cloth and I was 110 per cent not her type and she's not my type."

While he may not have found romance on Ten's reality dating show, the WA musician and barista hasn't given up searching.

"Honestly I went on because I'm single and looking and lonely and I'm looking for my future partner wife," he said.

"I just needed more time to get to know her, but you really have to cut to the chase in that kind of situation and it was very difficult for me to be honest to do that.

"Ultimately maybe this will just broaden my horizons on the dating scene because I've been single for too long and my mum and dad are doing their nut over the fact they've got three sons and none of us are married with kids."

In fact, Ferrier was disappointed to learn upon his exit from the show one former Bachelor contestant was off the market.

"I had a big crush on Heather Maltman but I only found out she just got a boyfriend, so that fantasy's off the cards," he says.

Ferrier says that now he's back in the real world he's just being his "looney tune wild card" self.

"I'm just doing my usual, creeping girls out by being too hard and fast too early," he says.

"Maybe I'll be encouraged to be a full time looney tune."
