Victoria announces landmark truth and justice commission
The Australian-first independent review will have the powers of a royal commission, examining the historical and contemporary effects of colonisation on Aboriginal communities. Linda Burney, the Shadow Minister for Families, Social Services and Indigenous Australians, says it's an important and exciting move as the commission paves the way for a treaty process.
