Farmers in the drought-stricken southern Queensland town of Stanthorpe have received welcome relief thanks to a massive donation from the Muslim community.

Muslim Aid Australia donated 438 hay bales and 190,000 litres of water to the town, amid fears Stanthorpe is set to run out of water in December or January.

MAA CEO Hassan Elsetohy joins Sky News to discuss the motivation behind supporting the drought-stricken community.
