Sky News host Chris Kenny says whether it be Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese, or the wider media as a whole, “there is a fine line between calling out confusion and adding to it” amid the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Albanese had attacked the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, urging the Coalition to implement stricter shutdown measures on Wednesday.

The Labor leader handed down his harshest criticism yet of Mr Morrison’s handling of the crisis, telling reporters his plan has been designed with “politics in mind”.

“The Labor Party has gone on the attack,” Mr Kenny said.

“This is a complex issue and there are complicated responses, and everything is evolving and there are many areas where judgement and compromise are required,” he said.

“But there is a fine line between calling out confusion and adding to it”.

Mr Kenny said that generally, what he is observing “is not panic and confusion, but a country sensibly dealing with a difficult crisis, helping each other, supporting each other, working our way through”.
