The astonishing revelation was made in response to a Labor campaign accusing him of pushing major tax cuts to prop up his personal wealth.

Labor launched a TV advert accusing Mr Turnbull of dropping tax for big companies because he 'has millions invested in funds which hold shares in dozens of big businesses which would benefit from the tax cuts'.

The Sydney Children's Hospital is a major benefactor of Mr Turnbull's charitable donations.
