Two men on the run after shooting woman in Moreton Bay home invasion

Two men are on the run after shooting a woman during a home invasion at Burpengary East, north of Brisbane.

Six people, including two children, were inside when the men stormed the property just after 1pm.

Police say a search is underway for the offenders in the surrounding area.

"The people who entered the home decamped on foot prior to police arrival," Inspector Craig White said.

"There has been a search underway for the last hour, an air and ground search."

Detectives are currently at the Talbot Street home and a crime scene has been established.

Paramedics say the woman sustained a significant arm injury.

She was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition.
