Aust economy facing headwinds: Frydenberg

May 21, 2019. Federal treasurer Josh Frydenberg speaking outside the Treasury in Canberra says the Australian economy is facing some economic headwinds. He points to the trade tensions between the US and China, Australia's number one investment partner and number one trading partner respectively. There has been a slow down in the housing market along with negative impacts of the drought. However the treasurer says the fundamentals of the economy are strong and the latest budget will support the economy through a number of reforms and infrastructure expenditures "without increasing taxes".
