Cricket Australia back team doctor 100% on actions around Steve Smith's concussion

August 19, 2019. Cricket Australia's chief medico Alex Kountouris says that Steve Smith's concussion was handled 100% correctly by the team doctor and that all protocols were adhered to. Kountouris says that Smith had no real say in whether he returned to the game or not, and that it was simply that he passed the concussion tests that meant he could go back out, and it was the concussion tests that also ruled him out of day 5 of the test. He says that around 30% of concussions are "delayed" and that Smith will need to be symptom-free for 24 hours before he can be considdered for the third test. (AAP VIDEO/Alex Murray)
