Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says he made his point that “enough is enough” and it is time for the Julian Assange matter to be “brought to a conclusion”.
“In that I don’t express any personal sympathy for the actions of Mr Assange,” Mr Albanese said during Question Time on Wednesday.
“I do say though, that this issue has gone on for many years now.
“I have raised this personally with representatives of the United States government, my position is clear and has been made clear to the US administration.”
