Frydenberg says renewable energy is part of a strong economy

May 21, 2019. Federal treasurer Josh Frydenberg speaking outside the Treasury in Canberra says renewables are critical to Australia's energy mix. A strong economy and a renewable energy target are not mutually exclusive. As more renewables come into the system "you need to smooth out that transition". Mr Frydenberg says the government , unlike Labor has costed the implementation of renewables. The Tasmanian interconnector allows more renewables into the system. (AAP Video/Marc Tewksbury)
