Reports finds major failures in emergency flood response

The New South Wales government is being urged to release the independent report into the state's catastrophic floods before another natural disaster strikes. Several people died and thousands were displaced when floodwaters devastated the northern rivers region twice from late February. The Parliamentary inquiry made 37 recommendations, including restructuring New South Wales state emergency services and abolishing resilience NSW.
