Seventy percent of tax payers to pay rate of thirty percent: Frydenberg

May 21, 2019. Federal treasurer Josh Frydenberg speaking outside the Treasury in Canberra says the electorate voted on the government's tax measures. The main structural reform was the flattening of the tax rate to thirty percent for incomes between $45,000 to $200,000 and should be supported by the Labor party when presented to parliament. "With seventy percent of the tax payers in that tax bracket, that's a really important and good structural reform," Mr Frydenberg says. (AAP Video/Marc Tewksbury)
