The Chase's Anne Hegerty tried out a bit of flirting with a contestant from Liverpool on today's show.

On the show, James, Joe, Shelley and Helen were up against The Governess in the hope of winning a potential prize fund worth thousands of pounds.

Up first was James, a retired maths teacher from Liverpool.

Having finished teaching three years ago, James said he enjoyed keep-fit classes and musical theatre.

He was hoping to win the prize fund today so he could spend a weekend in London with his wife Elaine and watch the musical Hamilton.

James started off the show confidently, with a decent £3000 in the cash-builder round.

He then had to face one of the Chaser's in order to get through to the final round.

Asked by host Bradley Walsh who he would like to face, James revealed he would like to go up against Anne.

He said: "I think I could build a bit of a rapport with Anne and I think she could be nicer to an older gentlemen."

As Anne came out of the tunnel, Bradley said: "We're off, here she is, it's your dream date Anne Hegerty."

Upon meeting James, Anne shamelessly said:  "I've got no intention of being nice to you. You're used to handling big figures, you're about to be handled by one."

James replied: "Oh indeed", whist Bradley looked on aghast.

Anne said: "You alright Brad?"

He replied: "I don't feel well, I've totally gone, I've gone."
