Small Business Australia’s Bill Lang says the country can’t be going forward where the only tool to combat COVID-19 outbreaks is a full lockdown.

A growing COVID-19 cluster in South Australia put Premier Steven Marshall into a panic and fuelled fears the state would see a Melbourne-style second wave.

The lockdown was then retracted after it was revealed contact tracing teams were lied to.

“It appears some of the states aren’t learning from some of the things that have happened in the other states,” Mr Lang told Sky News.

“To think you’d go to a full slamdown forcing everyone to stay at home, forcing all these business to close. It’s very concerning.”
