An adviser to the World Health Organisation has spoken out against governments using lockdowns as a method of controlling the coronavirus pandemic.

Special envoy Dr David Nabarro told British magazine, The Spectator, strict restrictions are having a dramatic negative effect on lives.

He warned lockdowns could lead to a doubling of world poverty and child malnutrition by next year and urged world leaders to implement strong tracking and tracing programs and hospital plans instead.
