Airbnb and short-term rentals driving up cost of rent
Ten years ago Airbnb entered Australia's tourism market, and very quickly became a go-to for travellers. But while it's been popular with both hosts and visitors, academics say it's now clear that short-term stays are taking homes out of the rental market and driving up rents.
