New WA Liberal leader Libby Mettam moves to quash influence of factional powerbrokers
Libby Mettam has passed one of the first major tests of her Liberal leadership, with powerbroker Nick Goiran stepping down as the party's parliamentary secretary. After suffering an embarrassing defeat on day one as leader, when the party room refused to back her move to oust Mr Goiran from the role, Ms Mettam has now got her way as part of her crackdown against the controversial Clan group.
