Six days to go: Shorten rallies and races in Melbourne

May 12, 2019. Opposition Leader Bill Shorten takes part in the Mother's Day Classic in Melbourne before heading to the ALP 2019 Final Week Rally at the Clocktower Centre on day 32 of the election campaign. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews attacks the Liberal party at the rally labelling Scott Morrison "from Sydney and for Sydney". Shorten speaks to the rally, joking the Liberal launch had scared people away from the night streets. "Tens of thousands of Melburnians were too scared to go out to dinner last night in Melbourne in case they ran into Peter Dutton," Shorten says. He urges attendees to convince undecided voters to vote Labor because of the optimism and strong team his party has. He also announces federal funding support for suburban rail loop project in the city.(AAP Video/Andrew Leeson)
