Name discrimination is 'unlawful', says race discrimination commissioner
Name discrimination sees Australians from many different cultural backgrounds frequently face job and rental application rejections, social exclusion, and even repeated spelling errors and mispronunciation. Australia's race discrimination commissioner says improved data collection and stronger laws are needed but increasing awareness about an "insidious" form of racism is just as important.
