Ontario budget: Province expects $1.3B deficit, set to post surplus in a year
Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy announced on Thursday after tabling the 2023 budget that it's expected the province will run a $1.3-billion deficit, before posting a surplus next year of about $200 million. Following that, the province would see a $4.4-billion surplus in the following fiscal year of 2025-26.
