Reeves, now 54, revealed how he supports charity through a private foundation he started. He let the news slip in a 2009 interview with Ladies Home Journal, according to Snopes.

"I have a private foundation that’s been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research," he explained. "I don’t like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does."

Reeves has become an Internet darling for the kindness he shows to others. The Canadian actor has never been one to make a big deal about it, but word spreads thanks to those on Reddit and Twitter who have been experienced his infectious energy.
