Harvest Brand Announcement - 10 a.m.
In connection with its 35th anniversary, merger and name change, Winnipeg Harvest is unveiling a new brand initiative designed to tap into the community energy that has sustained it since 1985.
You are invited to the online unveiling of this new brand, hosted by CEO, Keren Taylor-Hughes. The YouTube event will include speakers from four partner food banks across the province, as well as the release of our new video ‘Feel the Stars’ underpinned by the song produced by Manitoba’s Keith and Renee.
Feel the Stars Music and Video
Our vision was to create a video that reflected who Harvest is and who we serve. A video that touched the emotions that connect us. The same emotions which for 35 years have driven us to become the kinder, more caring, more connected community of ‘Harvest Stars’ we are today.
The ‘Feel the Stars’ soundtrack is an inspirational song by Manitoba’s own Keith and Renée, (Keith MacPherson and Renée Lamoureux). They generously gifted it to us for this project.
Choices Videos
Extending the vision, the Choices section on our new website features moving stories from Harvest Stars that jump off the page. Stories of what it means to a Harvest Star facing food insecurity: Food or Rent, Food or Drugs, No Breakfast for the Kids and Who Misses Dinner? Sharing these stories helps us understand each other better, and that understanding connects us. Connecting us creates community, and that’s when we come to see them as ‘our’ stories.
