Miller says feds looking at options after Manitoba RCMP confirm investigation into abuse at residential school

Amid calls for the federal government to prosecute perpetrators of sexual abuse at residential schools, Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller said Wednesday the government was exploring several options on how to respond after Manitoba RCMP confirmed it had been investigating allegations of sexual abuse at a former residential school in the province. Evidence had been collected over the span of more than 10 years and is now with Crown prosecutors, though no charges have been laid at this time.
