Though the universal gym has been around since the '70s, there is no incarnation of the home workout tool that has quite captured consumers like the Bowflex. Following its launch in 1986, makers of the Bowflex rolled out several models through the years, even unveiling a free weight-based product on its famous infomercials, which promise a rock-hard body within weeks. Not everyone has turned into the ripped, toned 50-year-old grandmother that pitched the Bowflex on one of its more notable ads, but that hasn't stopped more than 2.5 million of the home gyms from being sold across the world.* Video: Hollywood's best bikini bodies
