New data says more Manitobans getting HIV

HIV rates in the province are on the rise, especially among Indigenous women. That's according to a new report unveiled on this World Aids Day. Dr. Marcia Anderson is with the Indigenous Institute of Health and Healing says the high rates of HIV are linked to previous government policies, like forced assimilation of Indigenous peoples, which contributed to poverty, addictions, and homelessness.
