The New York Mets are close to acquiring outfielder Jake Marisnick from the Houston Astros, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

In exchange, the Astros will reportedly receive two minor leaguers, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Marisnick hit .233/.289/.411 with 10 homers and 10 steals last year while being an above-average defender in center field.

The 28-year-old is heading into his final season of arbitration eligibility and is projected to earn $3 million, according to MLB Trade Rumors.
