Stratford police release video appearing to show officer dragged by pickup truck at gas bar
Warning: This video contains disturbing content. Discretion advised. Stratford, Ont., police released video on Thursday appearing to show an officer being dragged by a pickup truck at a Canadian Tire gas bar. Authorities said an officer spotted a stolen truck, which police had been looking for, with a man and woman inside. At one point, the officer tried to pull the man out of the truck, before the woman attempted to drive off, dragging the officer a short distance. Both suspects were later arrested and face numerous dangerous driving and theft charges. The officer is said to be at home in recovery.
