White House 'Can't Guarantee' Holiday Parcels Will Arrive In Time Amid Supply Chain Delays

The White House said Wednesday it has helped broker an agreement for the Port of Los Angeles to become a 24/7 operation, part of an effort to relieve supply chain bottlenecks and move stranded container ships that are driving prices higher for U.S. consumers. Still, pressed on whether the administration can guarantee for the American people that holiday packages will arrive on time, Psaki said she could not. "We are not the Postal Service or UPS or FedEx. We cannot guarantee," she said. "What we can do is use every lever at the federal government disposal to reduce delays to ensure that we are addressing bottlenecks in the system."
