Ottawa working with border security union over possible strike

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he hopes for no disruptions at the Canada-U.S. border as federal officials work toward negotiations following a vote by 9,000 border employees in favour of striking. Unions representing the workers announced Tuesday its members may strike as soon as Aug. 6, three days before fully vaccinated U.S. citizens will be able to visit Canada without having to quarantine for two weeks.
