Baker Mayfield has a lot to celebrate lately.

He's not only helped turn around the Cleveland Browns franchise, but he got to watch Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray win the 2018 Heisman Trophy last night.

Murray became the second-straight Oklahoma quarterback to take home to coveted award after Mayfield won it last season. Unlike Mayfield, however, Murray seems destined for baseball instead of the NFL, having been drafted by the Oakland A's ninth overall in the 2018 ML Draft.

Still, Mayfield seems content carrying the torch of best Oklahoma quarterback in the NFL (bye-bye, Sam Bradford). And, last year's Heisman winner wasted little time putting on a show today against the Carolina Panthers.

Check out this 66-yard deep pass from Mayfield to Breshad Perriman in the first quarter.

It really is hard to believe scouts doubted Mayfield. Sure, it's only his first season, but he's already playing with the poise of a 10-year veteran.

Cleveland hit the jackpot with Mayfield, and if they can find the right coach for him, the Browns could be playoff regulars in the near future.
