As the Michigan Wolverines continue to make tweaks to their offensive coaching staff, one new face on the sidelines this year is particularly interesting to some analysts.

According to James T. Yoder of Michigan Football Report, the Wolverines are set to hire Josh Sinagoga as an offensive analyst for the 2023 season. Sinagoga has spent the last four years at Youngstown State in FCS working as a QBs coach and recruiting coordinator.

Yoder speculates that Sinagoga will work on the recruiting side of things on top of his offensive analyst duties following the recent departure of Jonathan Herd-Bond. Sinagoga has strong ties to the state of Michigan, having attended college at Northwood University and later at Central Michigan.

Sinagoga got his coaching start at the University of Iowa as a graduate assistant in 2017 and spent two years in the role before joining Youngstown State as a quality control coach in 2019.

2023 has gotten off to a bit of a rough start for Michigan on the coaching side of things. On top of the annual departures that every school experiences, they recently had to dismiss offensive coordinator and QBs coach Matt Weiss following an investigation into "computer crimes" on campus.

Kirk Campbell was promoted from senior offensive analyst to quarterbacks coach to replace Weiss and now Josh Sinagoga is going to replace him.

The Wolverines managed to make the College Football Playoff with upheaval on their coaching staff last year though. So long as the defense stays stout, they should be able to stay in the race until the end of the regular season this year too.

Will Josh Sinagoga be a difference maker on Jim Harbaugh's staff?
