Judge sentences Ghislaine Maxwell to 20 years for her role in Epstein sex trafficking ring
Vice reports that Ghislaine Maxwell has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for assisting deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein by trafficking teenage girls. In 2021, Maxwell was found guilty of multiple sex trafficking charges, including child sex trafficking. Prosecutors sought for Maxwell to serve as many as 55 years in jail. "Miss Maxwell directly and repeatedly and over the course of many years participated in a horrific scheme to entice, transport and traffic underage girls, some as young as 14."
