Public Memorial for Naomi Judd to air on CMT

On April 30, the Judd sisters announced they had lost their beloved mother “to the disease of mental illness” one day before being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was later revealed that Naomi took her own life. She was 76 years old. CNN reports Ashley and Wynonna Judd are working alongside CMT to honor the memory of their mother. CMT aired a public memorial service for Naomi Judd as a commercial-free special on May 15. The special aired from Nashville, Tennessee, at the famed former home of the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium.
