Iraqi citizen plots assassination attempt on former President George W. Bush, FBI search warrant reveals
An Iraqi citizen who lived in Columbus, Ohio, has been accused of plotting to assassinate former Pres. George W. Bush. Shihab Ahmed Shihab legally entered the U.S. in September 2020 and applied for asylum while trying to marry a U.S. citizen. An FBI search warrant revealed his plan to smuggle foreign nationals into the U.S. and plot with them to kill the former president.
