Environment minister agrees with calls for more plants, less meat in diet

Environment Minister Catherine McKenna announced funding for four agricultural innovations in bioplastics and artificial intelligence. The investments come a day after a United Nations panel called for widespread changes in agricultural management and food consumption to help combat climate change. Among the solutions is switching diets to more plant-proteins and fewer animal proteins, which produce more emissions and use up more land.
