$15 million from TTC reserve fund to go towards boosting security
The TTC says the money will help pay for the extension of contracts for 50 security guards and 20 community support workers. In the wake of the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Gabriel Magalhaes at Keele subway station, not all transit riders are confident the money will make a difference.
