Canadian sports teams victory parades through the years

Toronto Basketball fans are celebrating the Raptors winning the NBA championship for the first time since entering the league 24 years ago. Jubilant Raptors fans decked out in the team's gear cheered and chanted as a parade starring the newly crowned NBA champions began in Toronto. The Raptors' historic win last week marked the first time a Canadian team has won one of the big four professional sports championships since 1993. Here is a look at Canadian sports teams celebrating their victory parades: In 1976, the Canadiens brought home the Stanley Cup to Montreal for the 19th time after beating the Philadelphia Flyers in the final. In 1986, the Montreal Canadiens once again celebrated their Stanley Cup victory. In October 1993, the Toronto Blue Jays celebrated their World Series victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2012, the Toronto Argonauts took home the Grey Cup after defeating the the Calgary Stampeders. In 2017, the Toronto Football Club brought home the MLS Cup for the first time.
