NDP releases costed platform with lots of new spending, new revenues and no return to balance

The NDP is proposing to run a deficit of $32.7 billion next year if they win the federal election, with no plan to balance the books. New Democrats released their platform costing Friday, and it shows the projected deficit falling to around $16.5 billion for the last two years in a four-year plan. Singh defended keeping the books in the red, saying he wants to make investments in people.
