Katie Price has vowed to have a sixth child as she and fiance Carl Woods spoke about how they were trying for a baby.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today for their first interview since they got engaged last month, Carl also spoke about how he managed to bag a date with the former glamour model.

Joining Susanna Reid and Adil Ray in the studio, Katie admitted that she had "been in a panic" in the morning due to traffic.

"I haven't done my hair, my make-up," Katie said.

Carl quipped: "Luckily she's naturally beautiful, eh!"

Katie went on to speak about how she was a "different person" since leaving the Priory and meeting Carl, insisting: "I am a human not a product."

"If I had met Carl before it wouldn't have worked," she said. "I don't drink, I don't party."

"When I first met her [...] she was quite fragile," Carl explained. "She needed to be calmed down."

He also insisted that Katie is "not at all" tough and that it is "all a persona".

Opening up about how he had first met Katie, Carl admitted that she had been his "pin-up" when he was a boy in his room.

The couple first met in a bar, which is when Carl claims Katie went past him and said that she "liked the look" of him.

Carl claimed that he "badgered" the owner of the bar for weeks to call him up when Katie was next in - which he did and sped over to the bar to meet her while she was with eldest daughter Princess.

Katie wasn't hesitant to flash her huge diamond engagement ring as she admitted that with lockdown, Carl wasn't able to make a huge deal out of the proposal.

"It was lockdown so what can you do," Katie said.

Carl remarked: "We've done so much time together it feels like it's been three years."

Laughing, Susanna quipped: "Done time together? Sounds like a prison sentence?!"

Carl joked: "It felt like it at times."

He went on to say that he spoke to Princess and Katie's mum about the design of the ring so that he would get it just right.

Probed on when the wedding would take place, the couple confirmed that it would be sometime this year.

"We discussed it with all the parents," she said. "My mum is terminally ill so she wants us to get married this year so she can see it."

Speaking about whether they would extend their family, Katie confirmed that they were trying to.

"I would love a child," Carl insisted. "Before this I swore I would never date someone with kids and now I've got five!"

Katie announced that she was getting engaged to boyfriend Carl in April - just one month after ex Kieran Hayler revealed that he had popped the question to his partner Michelle Pentecost.

The former glamour model, 42, and Kieran - her third husband after Peter Andre and Alex Reid - tied the knot in 2013 and they split in 2018.

A few days after Kieran announced his own engagement, he revealed that they were expecting their first child together.

Michelle already has a son Valentino from a previous relationship and the happy blended family will now be gaining another member in August.

Kieran told his Instagram followers: "So that’s it the news is out!!!! We are having a baby!!!!!! could not be any prouder of Michelle and the way she has battled through the morning sickness, it’s been horrendous for her at times.

"Being a dad is the biggest achievement in my life and to get the chance to do it all again I could not be any happier. There is no feeling like it. Being able to share this experience with jett, bunny and valentino is incredible and they are so excited for the next step in our family’s journey."
