Game of Thrones star Ellie Kendrick's new horror movie Attachment has received a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film, which is directed by Gabriel Bier Gislason, follows academic writer Leah (Kendrick) as she falls in love with a failed Danish actress called Maja (Josephine Park).

However, their budding romance is interrupted by Leah’s unexplainable seizure, after which she moves back to her childhood home. There, Maja encounters Leah's overbearing and mysterious mother (Sofie Gråbøl).

Collider

"The film might not be the best choice for people looking for new terrors to populate their nightmares. But anyone looking for an honest and poignant exploration of love and family should keep Attachment on their radar."

Mary Sue

"I recommend Attachment for folks who want something new, queer, and surprising. And if you’re a big fan of Shudder originals, this is another splendid addition to their catalogue."

Father Son Holy Gore

"Gislason’s film is full of Jewish folklore & superstition while still a vividly human portrait of the loving connections that bind people together emotionally, disguised in the cloak of a demonic possession story that’s far from the standard genre fare."

Daily Dead

"Attachment is a confidently crafted debut feature from Gislason that thoughtfully examines Jewish folklore in ways I haven’t seen before and it also features a pair of fantastic performances from both Josephine Park and Ellie Kendrick."

Paste Magazine

"A quietly upsetting, deeply affecting horror film that nails its romance and family dynamics with clarity."

Attachment is available to stream now on Shudder.
