Dressed in a crisp white shirt which fit snugly on his muscular torso, the Thor star could be seen talking with another member of the cast in between scenes.

Debris was scattered across the street, and a bright green model of the same vehicle was suspended in the air by a crane for CGI purposes.

A Lexus was also driven onto set, whilst a sleek black bus which could have easily been used in Blade Runner was also brought out for the day's shooting.

However it is believed that rather than taking over those roles in the upcoming movie, Chris will be given a new character to get his teeth into.
